Project Walkthrough
Worked with INFERNO DTU which is a technical team in Delhi Technological University to fabricate the university's first-ever Martian rover prototype to discover lifeforms in the red planet. I mainly focused on designing a science platform for conducting in-situ analysis to study the earth sciences and chemical analysis with the rover. Integrated various sensors on a single platform and coded it up with the Robot Operating System to capture intricacies present on the red planet. We researched the nature of microbial life and determined the presence of extinct/extant life. We then participated in the Indian Rover Challenge 2020 competition with our rover and secured the eighth position out of 20 qualifying teams from 5 different countries.
